Catherine Dunne è autrice di dodici romanzi, diversi saggi e un’opera di saggistica. “An Unconsidered People” documenta l’esperienza vissuta degli immigrati irlandesi in Gran Bretagna negli anni bui del 1950. I romanzi di Catherine sono stati selezionati per numerosi premi, tra cui il Romanzo dell’anno agli Irish Book Awards e il Premio Internazionale Strega.

“Quel Che Ora Sappiamo” ha vinto il Premio Internazionale Giovanni Boccaccio per la narrativa nel 2013 e “Come Cade La Luce”, pubblicato nel 2016, è stato inserito nella longlist dell’International Dublin Literary Award. Il suo ultimo romanzo, “Una buona madre”, ha vinto il Premio europeo Rapallo BPER Banca per la narrativa nel novembre 2023. Le sue opere sono state tradotte in diverse lingue, ha ricevuto il premio Irish PEN 2018 per il contributo eccezionale alla letteratura irlandese ed è membro di Aosdána. Foto: Simon Robinson
